Health Mats Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, Health Mats celebrated 50 years of providing exceptional service to regional businesses, healthcare, educational, industrial, property management groups, as well as, the professional sports teams of the Greater PA area. Another local customer, Harrah’s Philadelphia, graciously hosted our event in the casino’s beautiful dining room. It was here that the lovely ceremonies took place, led by our owner and president, Vince Del Rossi.

The first moment that marked the night was when Vince asked all of his company employees past and present to stand and be recognized. A team of old and new, torches passed and carried on, the entire Health Mats family stood together in camaraderie 50 years in the making.

The entire room erupted in a cheer!

Then, Vince, the hardworking family man that he is, thanked his wife Nancy for being his partner, his accountant, plumber and at times his engineer from the very beginning of Health Mats Company. The recognition was a touching one, and certainly well deserved. Vince gave all the thanks and credit to the people who made his company what it is today, but when he was finished, it was his turn to be acknowledged.

For the company he built, for the perseverance and security he gave to his employees for 5 decades, Michael Del Rossi, Vince’s brother, and Georgiana Homola, Health Mats office manager, presented Vince and his wife with an award to honor that 50 year commitment and its incurring success. After them came a very important individual to recognize Vince’s leadership: Senator Stephen Barrar.

The Senator honored our company president by presenting him with the Pennsylvania State Flag and also recognized Health Mats Company’s 50th Anniversary by flying the flag over the Capitol in Harrisburg. The significance of flying a flag over the capitol is to honor and acknowledge special occasions as well as honoring a specific person or people. Needless to say, this hit home for nearly everyone in the room, and the many generations of Health Mats family swelled with pride.

From everyone at Health Mats, we would like to thank all those who were in attendance, and we hope that future generations of the Health Mats team will gather to celebrate 100 years.
